PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To abandon the procurement procedure for the creation of an intervention space at Foston CE Primary School.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

A competitive procurement exercise was undertaken in March and April 2022.  All tender costs returned were significantly above pre-tender estimate levels.  Also, approvals to works from third parties have not yet been concluded.   Given the outcome of the procurement exercise, and the outstanding approvals, the decision has been taken not to proceed to contract award.

A competitive procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service.

RECOMMENDATION

To abandon the procurement procedure for the creation of an intervention space at Foston CE Primary School, and not proceed to contract award.
